Trustee
youth music

Job Description

Do you love music and have experience of how music-making makes a difference in young people’s lives?

If so, this trustee opportunity could be for you.

Youth Music is recruiting new trustees and we are strongly encouraging applications from people with lived experience of Disability and people from the Black, Indigenous and People of Colour community who are currently underrepresented on the board.

We are particularly looking for candidates who have specific expertise in any of the following fields: finance, communications and brand development. Although not an essential criterion, we are also seeking candidates who have experience in safeguarding strategies and policies.

You’ll join us at an exciting time in the charity’s development following a significant period of growth over the last two years. As a trustee, you’ll play a strategic role in contributing to our future direction attending four board meetings each year, one away day plus project visits and events.

Most importantly, you’ll be passionate about making sure the barriers to young people participating in and progressing their music-making and career aspirations are removed.

The deadline for applications is midnight on Friday 26th February. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to have an informal discussion with Youth Music’s Senior Leadership Team prior to interview. Interviews will take place on Thursday 11th March.

We look forward to hearing from you.
