We are seeking an outstanding and dynamic individual to join our team as Youth Voice Regional Lead to develop young people’s voice across the North West and support the coordination of inclusive youth participation projects.

This is an exciting time to join our well respected organisation as we plan for the next five years. The post holder will have the opportunity to grow our work within and beyond North West England.

Youth Focus North West is an organisation with strong youth work roots. We work in partnership with organisations and young people to have a voice where it counts. We believe that working with young people and engaging them in civic life contributes to improving the lives of young people. Our youth voice work gives young people opportunities to make a difference locally, regionally and nationally.

Our Youth Voice work is revered throughout the region and beyond and we are therefore looking for an experienced youth work professional with a range of skills and experience. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in partnership with young people, practitioners, services and organisations.

We directly deliver and collaborate on programmes. We support work with young people by providing advice, guidance and training to both young people and practitioners. We manage and broker a number of relationships and networks for services and organisations that influence and impact on policy and practice.

YFNW is a knowledgeable team of staff and an engaged and supportive board of trustees. Candidates will need exceptional communication skills and the ability to join a competent, talented and enthusiastic team of staff and young people. Understanding and ensuring quality youth work practice is a prerequisite.

The successful candidate for the Regional Youth Voice lead post will be a dynamic youth worker with significant experience of working with young people in a range of settings and supporting young people in decision making processes.

YFNW has a firm commitment to strengthening the diversity of our workforce, and therefore welcome and encourage applications from like-minded people who can support our ambition to become effortlessly inclusive. We are particularly keen to hear from protected groups including Black, Asian, Minoritised Communities, LGBTQ+ and people with a disability. If candidates from these communities can evidence that they meet our essential criteria we will guarantee an interview.
