Clinical Trustee
wessex childrens hospice trust (naomi house)

Job Description

Charity Trustee - Voluntary unpaid position

Senior Clinical/Care Professional

An exciting opportunity for a compassionate senior clinical/care professional  to help shape the future direction of this respected charity and in particular to support the governance and oversight of the quality and safety of the care we provide.  Some experience with paediatrics, teenagers and young adults services and/or palliative care is highly preferable.

Naomi House and Jack’s Place provide palliative and respite care for children, young adults and their families from seven counties across the south of England. With two purpose built hospices situated in the Hampshire countryside, our promise is to deliver individualised care at a time when families need us most. Our ambition is high, our standards are first rate and our staff and volunteers are committed to maintaining both. We are now seeking to recruit a Clinical Trustee to our Board to ensure that we continue to achieve our goals and keep that promise.

If you are looking for a rewarding experience where you can put your current clinical/care governance skills and experience to good use then we would like to hear from you. Previous exposure to the charitable sector would also be an advantage. More important, however is the desire to make a difference.

The time commitment required is approximately six evening sessions per year for board meetings,  and a quarterly Care Governance committee meeting in the evening which the role holder will chair.   Meetings are generally held at our premises in Winchester (or virtually by Zoom under current restrictions). An enhanced disclosure from the DBS will be required for this role.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
