Job Description

Overall purpose of the role
To provide specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to the client group. The CBT Practitioner will work to a fixed-term model with clients. CBT services will include comprehensive assessment and treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and advice sessions. The CBT Practitioner will also provide consultation and advice-giving on the psychological care of clients to other staff, as required.

About you
You will be a highly skilled counsellor/practitioner with experience of working with vulnerable clients. You will have a Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy and registered with the BACP, or equivalent.  Preferably, you will be an accredited member of the BABCP, or comparable organisation.  As important as your qualifications are your abilities to blend therapeutic work with a pragmatic approach and work flexibly with individuals.

The postholder will understand the complexities of trauma, mental health, drug and/or alcohol dependency, and barriers to support experienced by homeless people.

What we offer
In return for your experience and commitment, our offer includes a salary of £40,000 per annum rising to £45,000; 22 days annual leave increasing to 25 days, plus bank holidays; clinical supervision; and up to 8% employer’s pension.
