Liaison Officer (part-time)

28 hours per week, NJC PO scale point 24 - £27,905 pro rata plus 7% pension

(Temporary post for six months with the potential to continue if further funding secured)

Voluntary Action Coventry is looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Liaison Officer for our Chat Central Project.  The role will focus on helping people to feel positive about themselves, to support them to build new social connections and to reduce their feelings of loneliness and isolation through participating in community activities and/or volunteering.  The role will help identify potential clients that are isolated and lonely, uncover their skills, interests and aspirations and support them to engage and connect in appropriate activities.

Experience of engaging people and building professional relationships is essential along with experience of working with a diverse range of people.  The postholder will support Chat Central on-line activities including co-hosting Zoom meetings and workshops and also by using WhatsApp or telephone to update them on what activities are available and link them to our provision or signpost to other community provision.
