Job Description

The University of East London Students' Union is a membership organisation set up to ensure students are empowered to have a full university experience. We offer our members opportunities to meet new people, explore interests and establish mechanisms to improve their course and University.

This is a new role. We introduced a new structure for student representation at University and school level last year. We want our student representatives to have the skills and information to make the new system work. The student voice manager will support those student representatives at school (six) and course (~500) level and in community groups (11). We want the manager to undertake research in conjunction with colleagues to ensure actions and policy are informed by evidence, and to support student officers, other student representatives and colleagues to develop policy positions on issues affecting members.

This role is not about running elections; it is about ensuring school and course representatives have the skills and information they need to be effective in their roles. You will have experience of working in a similar role (not necessarily in students’ unions) and will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or you will have significant relevant policy-making expertise.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
