Advice caseworker
university of east london students' union

Job Description

The University of East London Students' Union is a membership organisation set up to ensure students are empowered to have a full university experience. We offer our members opportunities to meet new people, explore interests and establish mechanisms to improve their course and University.

We have two roles for advice caseworkers: one is full-time and one is part-time (0.8FTE, four days per week). Please indicate on the application form which role you wish to be considered for (or both).

The advice caseworker will be responsible for providing impartial advice to students on academic matters. They will represent and support students in meetings and panels and advocate on their behalf. They will provide feedback on policies and procedures to help develop a more preventive approach to the Union’s work.

You will have a degree-level qualification (any subject) or significant experience in advice services. It would be helpful if you had an AdviceUK Learning to Advise qualification or equivalent, but this is not essential. You will be able to demonstrate success in a previous similar role providing complex case-based advice to individuals.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
