It's a great time to join us. We're part-way through a journey towards being a more effective and more relevant students' union which truly represents and supports our hyper-diverse membership.

The activities and events manager is responsible for the development of events and activities to support community-building and social cohesion amongst University of East London students. Working with the elected activities and opportunities officer and with support from the activities and events co-ordinator, the person will establish a programme of student-led events and society activities.

You will also be leading work to establish how we can increase our reach amongst students who tend to not participate in our activities at a strategic level with support from colleagues. We are looking for someone who is excited to pilot new ideas and approaches that best suit our diverse student base, which might not fit in a traditional students’ union. This will include working with colleagues to develop training and leadership development programmes appropriate to our students.

The candidate will have a strong events background, good leadership skills and a drive to source solutions to problems.
