Job Description
Universify Education is looking for students to run our 1 week university access residentials in August and to coach/mentor students in Year 10-11 to support them to reach top universities.
What’s involved:
● 1 week summer residential (13th-20th August or 20th-27th August)
● 3 day spring residential (late March/April)
● Monthly online coaching sessions
● Most volunteers help with all 3 aspects of the programme, but we also have spaces for those wishing to help with just one or two parts of the programme. Please email us if you’d like to discuss this
Volunteering with us will develop your ability to think on your feet, act as a consistent role-model for young people, and engage with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. Through volunteering you will build communication, teamworking, and problem-solving skills, as well as making a real difference to the students we work with.
What support is provided?
In return, Universify will provide you with meals and accommodation during the residentials and cover all travel costs. You will also receive 8 hours of training to equip you to work with young people and learn how to be a great coach. Throughout the year, you will also have the chance to join our leadership training programme including getting certified as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.
