Become a Trustee of UK Youth: Help make a difference to the lives of Young People across the UK

We recognise that to do this young people need inspiration, opportunities and encouragement to develop crucial life skills that are not always acquired at home or through formal education.

The impact of our work is profound, our movement reaches over 5,500 organisations and over 1.6m young people are supported through our network each year. Each year we invest millions of pounds into local youth organisations who deliver our inspiring programmes across the UK as well as enable young people to take part in outdoor learning at our activity centre Avon Tyrrell.

This is an exciting opportunity, we are recruiting new Trustees to become part of our dynamic UK Youth Board who are responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the Charity.

In your role as Trustee you will act as an ambassador for UK Youth and be responsible for ensuring the charity delivers its stated aim of supporting young people aged 9-25 across the UK.

We are looking for people from all walks of life who can demonstrate a genuine passion for empowering young people.

We are particularly looking for individuals with knowledge, skills or experience in the following areas:

• Leading Youth Sector / Youth work professional engaged in direct delivery to young people;
• Impact and Evaluation expert;
• High profile professional with developed networks and influencing skills.

We are also seeking applications from candidates who would like to act as Young Trustees, individuals aged under 25 who are currently or have previously benefited from youth work. For these individuals especially passion is key rather than expertise and we would be able to offer practical training to help them grow into their role
