Job Description

The Society of Authors, a UK trade union for writers, illustrators and translators, is looking for an experienced Membership Manager to lead their Membership Services team.

With nearly 11,000 members, monthly intakes of circa 100 members and a growing membership in excess of 3% growth year-on-year, our Membership Services department has never been busier.

We’re looking for an experienced Membership Manager to lead our Membership Services team, to create and deliver innovative membership strategies and to enhance our member offer, products and services.

This is an exciting time to join us as we prepare our new five-year strategy and embark on a database replacement project. We're looking for a skilled team leader and database expert who is hungry for their next challenge leading a new Membership Services team. 

To succeed in this role you will have a commercial and entrepreneurial mind, be confident in challenging existing practices and have an ability to spot new opportunities to strengthen our offer.

With excellent IT and communication skills, along with strong organisational, time and line management experience, you will be a skilled customer relationship manager with a track record of managing and motivating teams effectively.
