To deliver Ramblers Cymru’s Paths to Wellbeing Project across one of six designated regions of Wales. The project will facilitate community volunteering to enhance local green spaces, nature and Access in partnership with local authorities, environmental NGOs and local communities in line with the strategic plans and business objectives of partners and Ramblers Cymru.
we are looking for 6 x Regional officers in the following six locations: North East, North West, Mid Wales & South West, South East & South-Central Wales.
It would be desirable to have experience of engaging either families/young people and or environmental conservation
Essential requirements include:

A proven understanding of Rights of Way and Access in Wales
-
A proven track record in managing and working with volunteers
-
Experience of designing and delivering training and support resources
-
Experience of successfully managing projects or programmes delivering against agreed objectives
-
Experience of carrying out practical tasks e.g. path maintenance, conservation and habitat management
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrable attention to detail and the needs of different audiences
-
Ability to analyse data and present reports
-
Excellent IT skills, including social media and web skills, and an ability to support others to use software and programmes
-
Ability to travel and to spend evenings and weekends away from home

Interest in/knowledge of walking/physical activity/public health
-
Interest in/knowledge of environmental improvements/conservation
At least two of:
-
Knowledge and experience of geography, mapping, route planning or a related field

Risk assessment and group leadership skills in an outdoors context
-
Experience of working for a membership or volunteer-led organisation
