Gateway Assessment Officer

Permanent

Full Time – 35 hours per week

Up to £30,000 pa, depending on experience

The London Irish Centre is the Irish Heart of London. Our Mission is to empower and enrich lives through Irish community and culture.

For over sixty years, we’ve been proud to provide vital frontline welfare services to multi-generational Irish diaspora in London, whilst instilling positive impact within local communities through education, entertainment and cultural awareness. Our commitment lies in meeting the wants and needs of our shared communities, now and for the future.

JOB BRIEF

We are currently looking for someone able to represent the LIC as the first point of contact on their services journey. Someone who represents and embodies our core values of compassion & inclusivity and with a sense of community. Ensuring that the needs of the people we are serve are accurately assessed and support provided at the earliest opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to take on this new role at an exciting for everyone associated with the LIC.

This highly rewarding role requires an empathetic, dynamic and resilient person, someone who is naturally intuitive, can read situations and people easily, remains calm under pressure and thrives in a crisis. You will be able to hold space for people in distress, without judgement and have a passion for empowering people at times of need.

In this exciting role no two days are the same.
