Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of outcomes research in the field of child and adolescent mental health. The successful post-holder will be part of a team that has an impact by both informing academic research and the direct improvement of services.

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross.

The Child Outcomes Research Consortium (CORC) is currently seeking to recruit a Research Associate to design, plan and conduct quantitative data analysis and contribute to reports and publications for CORC. This will involve working with the team to produce detailed reports for child mental health providers and schools - for example, comparing their patients’ outcomes with other services with CORC membership, helping services reflect on their provision and improve practice. The post-holder will give advice and support on research design and statistics as required to the team. The post-holder will work closely with the line manager and will also be expected to work closely with project collaborators, clinicians and academics, as well as the CORC Research Leads and Director.

The successful candidate will have a number of years of experience of working in applied research settings and project management. The ability to communicate effectively with practitioners and to manage competing priorities is also vital.

The post-holder will be based at the Anna Freud Centre, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.

The Centre values diversity and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
