Job Description

Thames Valley Partnership charity seeks a Service Manager - Victims' Services to lead on a new specialist support service for adult victims across the Thames Valley.

The Partnership is an established registered charity of 25 years operating a range of support services for those affected by crime, across the three Thames Valley counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, and beyond. Following a successful funding bid to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Thames Valley, we have been selected to set up and run the new service for adult victims, beginning in April 2020. The new service will be tailored to meet victims’ individual needs and we will work closely with two partner agencies: bringing professionals with different specialisms together.

The Service Manager will have lead responsibility and accountability for delivering the new service, managing  key relationships as well as the contract with the OPCC. Overall, the role involves providing strategic direction in the development of the service, close working with key partners and stakeholders across criminal justice services and, in the short term, the integration of existing services and support and line-management of the relevant staff. You will oversee all aspects of the service including developing a strategy for the recruitment, training, retention and supervision of staff and volunteers and the development of peer support and buddy systems.

The role will essentially be based in the Partnership offices in Aston Sandford, Buckinghamshire HP17 8JB (however flexibility and remote working may be negotiated for the right candidate).

Closing date for applications:  29th November at 8am

Interviews will be held on:  4th December (at the Partnership’s offices)
