Fundraising and Development Manager
st pauls advice centre

Job Description

Are you passionate about people’s rights? Do you want to be part of a team fighting poverty and injustice by providing free, community-based advice and support services? Are you an experienced fundraiser with a strong track record in securing funding from Trusts and Foundations and other sources?

With people’s welfare and wellbeing being in the spotlight in the wake of the pandemic and the need for our services never greater, this is an exciting time to join our small, friendly and dynamic team. We are busy working towards achieving objectives set out in our five year strategic plan and are looking for someone who shares our values to help us achieve our ambitious goals.

St Pauls Advice Centre (SPAC) is one of Bristol’s longest-established charities. Our experienced team helps our local community access justice by providing free, professional legal advice on social welfare law issues. Community leaders created the advice centre in the 1970s to support local people, recognising the difficulties that many in the community were experiencing accessing their rights, understanding their obligations and navigating complex systems and processes. Many of our clients are vulnerable, marginalised and disenfranchised.

The purpose of the role is to lead the growth and diversification of St Pauls Advice Centres’ income and assist in the development of new projects in order to achieve our strategic objectives. You will be working closely with the Executive Director and Finance Manager.

We describe St Pauls Advice Centre as friendly, local and here to help – if that sounds like you too, we look forward to receiving your application.

We offer flexible working and a generous benefits package:

  • Salary: £30,451
  • Annual Leave: 30 days per year
  • Extra 3 days annual leave between Christmas & New Year
  • Pension Scheme: 5% employer’s contribution
  • Flexible working hours: 35 hours per week (28hrs per week optional)
  • Opportunities for home working

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
