Job Description

Job title: Partnerships Officer

Responsible to: Partnerships Manager

Line management: None

Contract type: Permanent

Location: St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London. Currently working from home during Covid restrictions. Role involves some UK-wide travel.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pa – depending on experience

Main purpose of role: Develop and build relationships with frontline staff and organisations across different sectors supporting people experiencing homelessness.

Main duties and responsibilities

Managing relationships with 5 of our Local Network Partners

  • Supporting the Partnerships Manager in being a main point of contact for queries on local network activities
  • Ensuring reports are submitted on time, read and responded to
  • Sharing key highlights with the Partnerships Manager and Policy and Comms Officer to support shared learning
  • Providing capacity support as needed for Partner events

Event management

  • Taking a lead role in organising our Annual Frontline Network Conference - developing from concept stage to execution of event and engaging staff and facilitators across the UK
  • Developing and managing budgets to agreed timescales and spend
  • Develop theme concepts for annual regional conferences and training events
  • Ensuring feedback is collected from all funded events

Funding

  • Supporting promotion and management of the Frontline Network Training Fund, Shadowing Fund and Events Fund
  • Helping to develop and facilitate training opportunities and to fulfil identified training needs/gaps in provision

Developing local networks: online and in person

  • Identifying areas and organisations who would like to establish a Local Network
  • Supporting new areas to set up a Local Network and run initial events to engage frontline staff
  • Support new areas in identifying local decision makers and opportunities for frontline workers to engage with them
  • Feed into the development of an overall strategy for how we support frontline workers to set up local Frontline Networks in their area

Person Specification

Experience

  • Track record of working in frontline roles with people experiencing homelessness
  • Evidenced networking and relationship building skills with a range of stakeholders
  • Practical understanding of issues, including wellbeing, faced by and affecting frontline workers supporting people experiencing homelessness

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Ability to build relationships with people at different levels across differing sectors
  • Ability to use initiative and work creatively
  • Ability to prioritise and carry out tasks within agreed timeframes
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency setting
  • Fantastic communication and presentation skills engaging lots of different people
  • Ability to work at home remotely, or in an office environment
  • Experience of using online comms tools including Teams, Zoom and Eventbrite
  • Budget management responsibility

Desirable

  • Experience of promoting and encouraging take up of resources targeted at a specific audience
  • Developing and implementing effective ways of capturing user feedback
  • Experience of identifying training needs and developing relevant training opportunities
  • Experience of organising events - including meetings and conferences in-person and online
  • Experience of using Hey Summit
