Hours: 18 Hours Per Week (occasional evening/weekend hours may be required)

Salary Range: £18,549 to £19,975 Pro Rata Per Annum

Location: Portsmouth (Solent Recovery College)

Based at the University of Portsmouth, Solent Recovery College (SRC) offers a fresh way of working that draws on the experiences and skills of people who have used mental health services and the staff who work within them. SRC is a partnership with Solent Mind, Solent NHS Trust and The University of Portsmouth. The focus is on education not therapy and offers learning opportunities about recovery, coping skills and managing on-going symptoms.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Solent Recovery College in the development and delivery of the curriculum for families of serving personnel. The successful candidate will support a programme of recovery focused awareness training within the city.

The purpose of the role is to be part of the Solent Mind Portsmouth Support & Recovery Service by facilitating sessions and agreed programmes at the Solent Recovery College (SRC).

The Peer Practitioner will facilitate training sessions for the families of serving military personnel.

These programmes cover three themes:-

  • Understanding recovery
  • Developing knowledge and skills
  • Moving forward
