Solent Mind is the leading ­mental health charity across Hampshire providing a range of high quality services to improve people’s mental wellbeing and to promote choice and rights to everyone who needs our support. Our services operate in various locations throughout the Hampshire area.

italk is the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service provided in partnership between Solent Mind and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. We are currently recruiting for:

OUTREACH CO-ORDINATOR (italk)

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week (5 days out of 7 and to include some evening and weekend working)

Salary: £23,057 to £24,830 Per Annum

Location: In The Community Across Hampshire (primarily North Hampshire)

(office base either at Basingstoke (North Hub) or Eastleigh (West Hub) plus home/flexible working where appropriate but currently home working in line with Covid-19 guidance)

We are looking for highly motivated and resilient individuals with a relevant qualification or Outreach/Public Sector experience and a desire to work in one of the largest Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services in the country. Our service provides Step 2 and Step 3 psychological services to most of Hampshire in a variety of flexible methods. You will work to engage with underrepresented groups to understand and remove barriers to accessing italk services. The team works across Hampshire, with each co-ordinator focusing on a particular geographical area. The area for this post is North Hampshire, covering Basingstoke, Andover and Alton.

We need people with energy and enthusiasm, who are flexible in their approach and can work well as part of a small, busy team in a high-volume service and demanding environment. You will be responsible for identifying and researching target populations and their needs, and creating projects to improve access to the service whilst working with local connections and partner support organisations across Hampshire and within Solent Mind and italk.

At italk we take pride in our mission to offer psychological services in partnership with the NHS and do our best to look after our staff wellbeing at all times. Each staff member is encouraged to attend a fortnightly wellbeing group with their colleagues to do activities together and encourage connectedness. All staff have access to the Solent Mind online wellbeing platform and free 24/7 support via our Employee Assistance Programme as well as regular supervision with their line managers. We believe that we need to look after ourselves in order to best support our patients and welcome new team members with the same philosophy.
