Solent Mind is a ­mental health charity providing a range of high quality services to improve people’s mental wellbeing and to promote choice and rights to everyone who needs our support. Our services operate in various locations throughout the Hampshire area.

Digital Skills is a new project being delivered by Solent Mind in partnership with subsidiary charity, Mayfield Nurseries. The project aims to ensure full access to digital content and Information Technology to the most vulnerable and digitally disenfranchised people who have or are at risk of mental health and wellbeing issues.

DIGITAL SKILLS IT CO-ORDINATOR

Contract: Fixed Term Until 25 Aug 2023

Hours: 30 Hours Per Week (flexible to include some evenings/weekends/bank holidays)

Salary: £23,057 to £24,830 Pro Rata Per Annum

Location: Southampton (Mayfield Nurseries) and Various Solent Mind Sites Throughout Hampshire (also combined with some home working)

Closing Date: Mon 27 Sep 2021 (Before 9.00am)

Interview Date: TBC

The purpose of this post is to coordinate the activities of the project, line managing two peer support workers who will be delivering digital skills training to our participants. The post holder will work with participants directly to assist in offering support with digital queries as well as organising a programme of training for participants based around the Department of Education’s Digital Skills Framework, to be delivered by peer support workers. There is also a responsibility to network with relevant agencies to advertise for referrals to the project.

The post will be based between Solent Mind premises across South Hampshire and Mayfield Nurseries in Southampton with some opportunity for home working.
