Job Description

SCDA are looking to recruit new Trustees to join our Board, to work alongside our existing Trustees and to oversee the strategy and delivery of our services.

Who are Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA)?

We strengthen communities by delivering a range of local services to people across East Sussex including providing community hubs which offer emergency & community food, family activities and learning, youth activities, nursery, bicycle recycling, advice, support into employment and retail charity shops. We aim to support community and individual health and well-being, and provide information & help getting people back into work.

We are particularly interested in recruiting Trustees with specific experience in:

Finance and commerce;

Human Resources;

Digital/marketing and promotions;

Charitable fundraising;

Business and social enterprise;

Good governance.

Specific awareness of issues relating to health and wellbeing and the needs of disadvantaged communities would be welcomed.  SCDA is looking for effective people to join its Board of Trustees in realising our ambitious goals to make a difference in local communities and with local people. SCDA Trustees are key to helping make this happen.  We look forward to hearing from you.
