An exciting role to use your leadership skills to guide and support a team of highly committed, enthusiastic volunteers who help adults in Hackney to learn to read. You have the opportunity to make life-changing differences!

Read Easy Hackney is affiliated to Read Easy UK, a national charity that helps adults learn to read and which has nearly 40 groups across England. Read Easy Hackney is Read Easy UK's first London group. It was established in March 2018 and has grown to be a highly impactful local group with over 30 Reading Pairs (Reading Coach and Reader). It is run by a hard-working, dedicated group of 8 management team members, all of whom are also volunteers.
The group is now seeking a new Team Leader to oversee and grow this vibrant group. We are looking for someone who:

• has strong leadership and team managment skills and experience
• is able to think and act strategically, set goals, plan work and delegate to others
• has an understanding of what motivates others and the ability to influence/manage relationships
• shows a strong commitment to improving the lives of people Read Easy works with.

The role does involve a significant time commitment but has the advantage of being very flexible. Benefits of the role include:
