Job Description

Do you care passionately about mental health? Do you wish to make a difference using your skills and/or lived experience for greater good? Do you want to support a local charity that improves the wellbeing of Surrey residents? Whatever your reason, you should consider becoming a volunteer Trustee of Mary Frances Trust (MFT)!

We’re looking to recruit two volunteer Trustees to join our Board. Trustees are ultimately responsible for the overall running of the charity, ensuring that the best interests of the community we serve are always at the heart of our decisions. At MFT, that means ensuring that everything we do, and the way in which we do it, is geared towards supporting those who are experiencing mental and emotional health issues, working with them to enable them to improve their confidence and self-esteem, and live fulfilling lives.

We’re particularly keen to recruit Trustees with experience of working in mental health, ideally clinically; co-production; equality, diversity and inclusion; information governance or human resource management. An understanding of public policy, NHS and local government and statutory bodies would also be helpful. We recognise that these skills can be developed through a range of different experiences and it is not necessary to have previous experience as a Trustee to apply.

About Us

Mary Frances Trust (MFT) is a mental health and emotional wellbeing charity, supporting Surrey residents since 1994 in Banstead, Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley.

We offer a variety of face-to-face and online services, available to adults (aged 16+) living in Surrey who would like to restore and/or maintain their mental and emotional wellbeing (no diagnosis needed). We run wellbeing activities, offer wellbeing advice and information, have a crisis service called Safe Haven and much more.

Our services are free of charge, with no waiting list and no time limit (you can use us for as long as you need and register again at any point).

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
