Making Music Platform Support Officer
making music

Job Description

Making Music is the UK association for leisure-time music with 3,900 music groups in membership and 220,000 hobby musicians in them. It offers music groups practical support and services; artistic opportunities; and connection with others. Making Music is also the voice of the leisure-time music sector.

One of our key services is Making Music Platform; an online platform to help members run their groups. It includes a public facing website, a member login area, databases to manage membership and activities, email, and tools to help with group management.

We are now looking for a Making Music Platform Support Officer (30hrs a week – can include some evenings and weekends) to join the Membership and Services Team and support Making Music Platform users. Salary £26k pro rata (=£20,800 for 30hrs a week).

Many queries will be technical, but you don’t need deep technical knowledge or developer skills – we provide training. It’s important that you have a technical mind and some experience of databases and websites; also, enthusiasm, a desire to keep on learning, good problem-solving skills and excellent communication.

What we offer: flexible hybrid working, a friendly office by London Bridge, a team that values the contribution of diverse voices and an inclusive culture where you are encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

We realise we could miss out on incredible talent because you don’t see yourself in everything in the job description, because the hours don’t quite work or because the application process doesn’t allow you to show your best.

Please don’t be put off - if you think you could be great for this job, but aren’t entirely sure, would rather work slightly more or less than 30hours/week, or think you can better show what you can do by applying in a different way, please contact Ben Saffell (contact details can be found in the job pack on our website).

Application deadline: 9am on Monday 25 July. Interviews on Friday 29th July.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
