Job Description

Launch It Paisley are offering an exciting opportunity to manage our Enterprise hub, Start Up Street, in George Street, Paisley. Start Up Street supports local young people, who are facing barriers to explore enterprise as a route to self employment. We do this by providing subsidised space, business support and guidance, facilitating training, mentoring and sales opportunities and working with every client on a one to one basis.

The Enterprise Manager plays a key role in the delivery of the Start Up Street programme. Their role is to ensure that our clients have the best chance of success by empowering, providing training support and the guidance needed to give every client the best opportunity to develop a successful business. This includes:

  • Supporting all clients to gain the knowledge, training and confidence to start and develop business.
  • Embedding Start Up Street locally.
  • Facilitate training opportunities for every client.
  • Manage the facilities and operations of Start Up Street.

Delivery will be supported by sister charity Launch It and dedicated local trustees with support from Renfrewshire Council.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Launch It Paisley clients to gain knowledge, training and confidence they need to start a business, by:
    • Working with pre start clients to develop a viable business plan.
    • Managing and allocating subsidised workspace.
    • Providing opportunities to gain access to funding.
    • Offering every client bespoke one to one support.
  • Embedding the centre locally, by:
    • Working with local delivery partners to develop opportunities for clients.
    • Creting and hosting local events.
    • Developing opportunities to sign post and recruit clients.
  • Facilitate training opportunities for every client:
    • Working with Launch It’s mentor co-ordinator to match clients with a mentor.
    • Develop and provide access to training opportunities both through Launch It and partner organisations.
    • Develop a programme of activities to enhance clients business knowledge and opportunities.
  • Manage facilities and operations:
    • Oversee all facilities management at Start Up Street.
    • Adhere to building health and safety, fire safety and security requirements.
    • Manage rental payments and invoicing.
    • Manage operations for the property.
