Trust Manager
joffe trust

Job Description

Unique opportunity to join our small team! Manage all aspects of the Trust's operations and work closely with the Director on everything we do. Flexible, part-time position. Regular meetings in York (UK).

The Joffe Trust is a strategic grant-maker, giving out £1m per year. We are the UK’s most specialised funder of work on tax justice and fighting corruption. We also support small UK non-profits who tackle global inequality.

This job's core responsibility is to manage the Trust’s day-to-day operations. We keep our systems light touch and professional, in line with our values. There is scope to get involved in any aspect of the Trust’s work. The position is a great entry point into the world of grant-making and philanthropy.

The vacancy has arisen as a long-standing colleague is retiring from the Trust in May 2021. By the end of 2021, we will identify goals for the Trust over the next ten years and our staffing requirements for the future. This position may become a permanent role at that point.

The Trust currently only employs two staff: the Director and this Trust Manager role. The role will involve working closely with the Director on all areas of the Trust’s work. We can take a flexible approach to making the practicalities work for the right candidate. We welcome applications from people from a wide range of social and ethnic backgrounds.
