Job Description

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for a Specialist Huntington's Disease Adviser to support people affected by Huntington’s. The role is 28 hours a week and is home-based, living in the Oxfordshire, Berkshire or Northamtonshire areas, but will involve extensive travel within the region and occasional travel across England and Wales.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is dedicated and committed to the welfare of families affected by Huntington’s disease, developing and improving the quality of care that they receive. They will need to have skills gained within a Health and Social Care profession. Their main responsibilities will be to offer help, information, advice, support and education to everyone affected by Huntington’s disease and professionals involved in supporting them. The Huntington's Disease Association is looking for someone with the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of adults at risk, children and young people.
