We are very excited to be recruiting a new Chief Executive to join Hackney CVS.Our vision is of a fairer Hackney and we work towards that by tackling inequality and driving social change.

For over two decades we have supported the Voluntary and Community Sector to be at heart of providing solutions to Hackney’s problems. As an umbrella body for the sector we bring organisations together, work alongside public bodies, provide grants to small organisations and lead large scale partnerships to address issues such as unemployment, loneliness and isolation or poor mental health.  We raise the profile and voices of local community and voluntary organisations, ensuring they are valued, understood and properly resourced.

We’ve recently invested in the development of our premises and are working on a range of impactful and innovative projects that make a genuine difference to the Voluntary and Community Sector. We empower the local community to develop and lead solutions to the inequalities they face. We have excellent strategic relationships, a strong reputation of trust, and access to a number of high-profile supporters and funders.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved and where we’ve come from. But, we also know there are big challenges that lie ahead. The Covid-19 pandemic has created an increasingly complex and difficult environment.  As competition for funding grows and there are bigger demands for support, the sector and Hackney CVS will play a key role in helping to address inequalities and provide the support needed by those most affected by the pandemic.

Our new CEO will help us to ensure that local residents and communities remain central to the design and delivery of our services. We need someone that is strategic and future thinking who will help us to navigate our future challenges, whilst being hands-on enough to understand our communities and lead on key programmes.  As our new CEO, you will be a strong champion and advocate for the sector and will be able to build existing and new strategic relationships and networks. You'll be an effective and compassionate leader, with a good understanding of the challenges faced by those we serve. You'll also be able to seek out new opportunities and have an innovative approach to fundraising and income generation.

If you're passionate about the potential of Hackney CVS and excited by the possibilities and challenges that the future holds, we'd really love to hear from you.
