Job Description

Genetic Alliance UK, the largest alliance of organisations supporting people with genetic, rare and undiagnosed conditions in the UK, is looking for a talented and efficient Executive Assistant.

This pivotal new role will work closely with the Interim Joint Chief Executives, Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team to support our continued growth, development and impact. It is a home based role with occasional meetings in London.

As part of a small but friendly and dynamic team, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their experience as an Executive Assistant, or for someone looking to utilise their existing skills and experience in a flexible role. We are looking for someone with a minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role, excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office, Google suite, Adobe and social media platforms) and who is able to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines. For the right candidate, hours and days are negotiable (minimum 21 hours per week, maximum 35).

With specific duties to facilitate the governance of our charity, this is also an exciting opportunity to support our upcoming strategy review. It will be a busy and varied role with no two days the same - tasks will include preparation of Board papers and minute taking, scheduling meetings, HR duties including assisting with the recruitment and induction of staff and trustees, and diary management support for the Joint Interim Chief Executives.

You will also support the wider team to run successful events and with document preparation, including proofing and formatting in line with our organisational brands and style, so need a keen eye for detail and a methodological approach to work.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
