Job Description

This is a full-time, permanent position – 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Salary: £70,000 per year

Friends Therapeutic Community Trust, known more widely as Glebe House specialises in helping boys, aged 15- 18, who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours and may have other complex behavioural issues. It provides a year-round children’s home together with individualised treatment programmes of therapy and education, delivered on-site at our Independent Special School and carried out within a therapeutic community setting.

We are now seeking a Managing Director to be responsible to the Trustee Board and to lead the Trust in delivering the strategic vision and sustain the values, ethos and service quality to which it is committed. This includes responsibility for financial planning and sustainability, providing inspirational leadership and management, and giving leadership to planning future developments and the shaping of services; income generation, fundraising and partnership working.

Your ability to work with Boards and Trustees is vital, as Governance and Accountability will be required as you will provide timely, coherent and relevant information to the Trustees on progress against objectives.

You need to have excellent people skills and proven management and business acumen, along with a dynamic and inspirational way of thinking and vision that will help lead the Trust through a new and exciting period. You should also be fully conversant with, committed to and enthusiastic about the values and objectives of the Trust.
