About Exam Star®

Exam Star® is a social enterprise working for the educational fulfilment of vulnerable pupils at risk of falling behind academically. We offer free one-to-one online homework help to primary and secondary school pupils in English, Maths and Sciences. Additionally, we provide heavily subsidised online tutoring services in all core subjects as well as French and 11+ exam preparation. The aim is to help vulnerable pupils who have little or no academic support at home and find it difficult to work by themselves. Our objectives are to offer personalised academic intervention, which is affordable and universally accessible, to increase pupils’ confidence, develop their awareness of independent study methods and techniques and ultimately raise their educational aspirations as well as helping them feel more empowered to fulfil their academic potential

We are urgently looking for a volunteer Fundraising and Grants Application Manager, to help us achieve our mission of contributing towards helping vulnerable pupils fulfil their academic potential.

Skills

We would love a Fundraising and Grants Application Manager to possess the following skills:

• Research, prospect and cultivate a brand-new pipeline of donors to support our fundraising goals.
• Develop proposals, reports and presentations for major donors, trusts and grant making foundations.
• Present oral or written proposals to potential grant-making donors.
•  Monitor and evaluate our impact.

About the location

The volunteer can work entirely from home and we can consider remote candidates from across the UK.
