Job Description

The Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) is a leading alliance of companies, trade unions and NGOs that promotes respect for workers’ rights worldwide. Our members include well-known high street retailers, luxury fashion brands, supermarkets, suppliers, international development NGOs and trade union confederations.

We are looking to fill a newly created post for an expert to help us drive our gender strategy forward across all areas of our work. As such, you will be an experienced gender and social inclusivity professional with an interest in ethical supply chains.

You will be the main source of contact on all gender and social inclusivity questions from members and staff and will play a lead role in ensuring gender is more explicit in all ETI programmes. It will also be essential to build consensus on the importance of gender equality as an enabler of workers’ rights. You will do this by supporting the integration of gender equality across ETI’s operations and activities, leading the development of guidance for corporate members to address gender issues in their supply chains and by engaging with relevant partners and trade union representatives on gender.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and communication skills, and a background and commitment to human rights and development.  We have funding for this post for 2 years.
