Job Description

Devon Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Services (DRCSAS) is a free, confidential specialist trauma support and advocacy service to those who have who have suffered rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment or any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives.


The service aims to support people through skilled therapeutic support, provision of information and advocacy and in addition to supporting people directly, DRCSAS aims to campaign and raise awareness about sexual violence.  We operate from three offices, in Exeter, Barnstaple and Torquay and have developed our range of services to encompass specific work with young people, homeless women and group work programmes.


The Chief Executive role is crucial to leading this exciting and forward-thinking feminist organisation into its next stage of development. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, creative and dynamic woman with exceptional leadership qualities, who is passionate about making a significant difference to the lives of people affected by sexual violence.


You will lead an exceptional team of women focused on getting the best possible outcomes for the people we work with.  You will be a confident communicator, relationship builder and partnership broker with funders, commissioners and fellow providers ensuring the sustainability of DRCSAS. 

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and open to women only (exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)
