We are looking for an exceptional and inspirational new Chief Executive to lead our organisation, who has a passion for placing people at the center of our work, empowering communities and championing the power of design.  This is a significant opportunity to shape the future direction of Design Council, which is an agile and globally-recognised design body with a 75-year legacy. The organisation is at an exciting stage in its development as we celebrate our ten-year anniversary of becoming an independent charity and having established and grown our services and programmes. Our 2020-2024 strategy  will build on this success and will focus on having an impact on big global challenges which affect sustainable living, health and wellbeing and promoting the power of design skills as a force for change.

The role presents a chance to work with business, government and the third sector to make the case for design, influencing and shaping the design economy. The Chief Executive will champion the role of design, especially with government, and engage with our stakeholders, influencers and partners. You will bring a passion for design, your wealth of experience and knowledge from your own professional life and be able to open doors for us to new partners.
