Job Description

Help us to improve the lives of people living with dementia.

Dementia Adventure is a charity that helps people living with dementia get outdoors, connect with nature, themselves and their community, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives.

The charity has a board of trustees who work in a voluntary capacity, and we are looking for more than one person to fill some vacancies on our board. We’re looking for people who have skills and experience in one or more of these areas:

  • Digital skills to transform our services

  • Campaigning skills to raise awareness of our services and

  • Lived experience of dementia or caring for someone with dementia

In the role of trustee you will support the vision and the direction of the charity. We will ask you to attend up to six meetings each year to provide strategic oversight and support to the staff. The meetings are digitally accessible. In addition to the meetings, there will be varied engagement with the charity, and an average time commitment for this role is three hours per month.

We will provide induction support and ongoing development and training to fulfil the role.

We will reimburse any out of pocket expenses.

We will provide opportunities to develop new skills.

We will provide opportunities to develop services that will improve the lives of people living with dementia.
