Full-time 37 hours per week

Crawley Community Action is a charity which enables and supports volunteers, volunteer groups and charities in and around Crawley. We advocate for the voluntary and community sector with local government and other statutory authorities.  We’ve been supporting Crawley’s community and voluntary sector for 60 years – Crawley Community Action is our new name, demonstrating our commitment to Crawley’s people and communities.

About the role

We are going through an exciting reinvention right now, strengthening our focus on building resilience in the local community through a renewed focus on community assets and partnerships, and

In addition, we’ve reinvigorated our relationship with Crawley Borough Council and our partners in the West Sussex Community and Voluntary Sector Alliance as well as engaging with partners and sponsors in the private sector.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual with knowledge and experience of working with community groups and supporting organisations to value volunteers and volunteering.  You will support and enable charities, community groups and social enterprises on their journey to becoming effective and sustainable. Bringing your skills and enthusiasm to supporting voluntary and community action, you will provide advice, support and training/learning to help local organisations start, grow and thrive.

Working with the Community Groups Manager, you will be part of the Outreach Team working to Service Level Agreements within the organisation, which you will be a part of developing and monitoring.
