Job Description

ConnectEd is one of the largest providers of counselling and therapy services to schools in London.  We are looking for an experienced mental health professional or Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing.  

The Service Manager will line-manage a team of qualified and experienced counsellors/ therapists who work on-site in primary, secondary and special schools across London. 

In this term-time role you will receive an excellent package including an 11% employer pension contribution and access to an employee assistance scheme.  The successful applicant will have:

• A qualification in counselling, therapy or social work and full membership/ accreditation with an appropriate professional body (e.g. BACP/UKCP/BAPT/HCPC). 
• At least five year’s post qualifying experience of working as a mental health professional/Social Worker.
• Experience of working with or in schools, or similar experience which demonstrates a clear understanding of how to effectively engage with schools and school staff.
• Experience of team/performance management and the ability to inspire staff to work to the highest professional standards.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding guidance/legislation and experience of practically applying this knowledge when dealing with safeguarding concerns.

Salary: £32,973 (Full Time Equivalent £42,349).

Hours: 4.5 days per week (31.5 hours) term-time only, plus nine days which must be worked during the school summer holiday
