Carers Support Merton

Carers Support Merton (CSM) is a well established and respected charity in the London Borough of Merton with an ambitious development programme of work to support promote and improve the quality of life of unpaid carers from the age of 5 years. CSM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manger to join our friendly team. 

Working as part of the senior management team the post holder will have responsibility for all aspects of the financial function of the charity which will include the maintenance of accounting records and the production of timely financial information for the trustees, chief executive and independent examiner.

Finance Manager 

Hours: 14 hours per week (to be worked flexibly)

Salary : £36,000 to £40,000 per annum Pro Rata depending on qualifications and experience.  Candidates wishing to work on a freelance basis will also be considered provided they meet HMRC requirements as a self- employed individual.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to a minimum of AAT level 3 with a solid track record as a Finance Manager or similar.  You will bring knowledge and experience of managing financial systems and procedures and providing financial information to the board of trustees to assist in decision-making, ideally in a not-for-profit setting. However, candidates with transferrable experience will also be considered.

This role would suit someone with flexible and pro-active approach to work, attention to details, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, both in person and remotely.

We are currently home based due to COVID-19.  However, in the future the role will be based at our offices in Mitcham, but with the opportunity for continued homeworking for some of the working hours.  This role is NOT suitable for permanent fulltime remote working.
