Job Description

We are looking for an observant and empathetic person to join our team of casewokers. Your job will be to meet with unpaid carers of dependent adults, usually a family member or a close friend, and ask them about their support needs and find out how Carers Network can help them.  You will then need to write a comprehensive, accurate report outlining their needs and the support plan you have worked on together. 

You will need to be a good writer and great at explaining things to people.You must have speedy and accurate typing skills and the ability to learn to use two Customer Relationship Management systems.

You will also need to learn about all the local resources in the area so that you are able to make good recommendations for support.

We operate a hybrid system of working where you will work some days from home and the remaining time at our offices in North Westminster. You will need to have a quiet, private area in your own home and a good internet connection for remote working. You will be provided with all the equipment you need and training and support from your line manager. 

Most of the work you do will be done remotely but there will be some face-to-face work with clients, either in our offices or in their own homes, so you will need to be able to travel on public transport.  The area you will cover is the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.  You are not expected to be familiar with this borough before you begin the job but you must be willing to learn all about it once you start.
