Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting volunteers to make a difference to the lives of carers in East Sussex? Care for the Carers is seeking to recruit a skilled volunteer coordinator to join its team supporting unpaid carers in East Sussex.

The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, support and develop a team of volunteers, in a variety of roles, to enhance our work to support and represent carers in East Sussex. 

The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with excellent organisational skills, who has experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers, and of developing, implementing and evaluating volunteer programmes.  The ability to gain and maintain volunteers’ confidence is essential, as is a commitment to equality and inclusion. The post holder will normally be based at Care for the Carers’ office in Eastbourne, with some travel across East Sussex, and some remote working available, however, the post is currently entirely home-based due to COVID-19 restrictions. 

The post is subject to a DBS check.
