Could you help lead CCC forward by combining your HR skills and your interest in mental health wellbeing in the workplace and in the communities of Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and surrounding counties?

The Trustee Board meets four times a year and engages between meetings as required, usually by email or phone.

In addition to the general responsibilities of a trustee, the HR specialist has the following additional responsibilities:

  • Leading discussions on CCC’s HR strategy
  • Supporting the Director with HR matters including staff and self-employed
  • Collaborating with the Director and Business Development Manager on the design of new counselling services for organisational clients
  • Sitting on recruitment and disciplinary panels as required.

In addition to the person specification for a trustee, the HR specialist should have the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Experience in a senior HR role
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent with up to date skills and employment law knowledge
  • Has understanding of mental health in the workplace and of Employee Assistance Programmes.

This is a pivotal time in CCC's 41 year history as a leading local counselling charity. You will be joining a well-established and committed board of trustees with a variety of specialisms. The 2020-2025 strategy has been completed, but your input to the detailed business planning and many vital projects will be invaluable.

We currently provide approximately 4000 counselling session per year, but we need to provide more to ensure that all those who could benefit from our services are able to. Our contracted clients which include the public and private sectors organisations are essential to the future of CCC and your specialist input to develop these services will be particularly welcomed.

CCC has three employees and 43 loyal self-employed counselling members. We want to be an organisation that is consistently described by its members and officers as a great place to be part of and whose values are embodied in everything we do. We aim to be a charity of choice in the counselling sector. Your HR experience will help guide the Director and management team in achieving this aim.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
