Job Description

Do you want to help fight breast cancer?

Do you want to use your excellent communications skills and experience to work alongside a diverse and dynamic team to help grow our breast cancer prevention community?

We are a national breast cancer charity focussed entirely on breast cancer prevention through:-

  • Funding scientific research into the preventable risk factors 

  • Educating and raising awareness of preventable risk factors and providing practical information to empower people to reduce their risk 

  • Campaigning for policy changes that promote the prevention of breast cancer.

The origins of Breast Cancer UK are in science, the charity is known for its scientific research and campaigns on the links between certain environmental chemicals and breast cancer, we also promote awareness and understanding of lifestyle risk factors. 

We are looking to build our team with talented, motivated and ambitious individuals who want to contribute to helping us become the leading voice in breast cancer prevention. 

About you 

You will be a highly organised, creative, and talented communications professional with an interest in breast cancer and/or public health prevention and a love for communicating purposeful and engaging messaging to a diverse audience. You will love writing and planning how best to get our complex range of communications out to our many audiences.You will be a social media wiz with a thorough understanding of how best to plan and utilise the various channels to ensure we engage and retain our varied audience of women and men from all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. You will be self-motivated, content to work remotely and ready to drive forward a busy programme of work. Ideally, we would be looking for the candidates to join our team before the end of the year.
