Job Description

To support our ambitious plans to engage with many more people affected by blood cancer, we need to do more to promote and embed our brand to tell our story and to increase understanding of blood cancer. This is a one year fixed term contract role.

 We need a talented Brand Marketing Manager to plan and deliver integrated, insight-led marketing activities that create cut through, grow support with target audiences and strengthen understanding and perceptions of the Blood Cancer UK brand.   
 

Working with the Digital and Data teams, you will help ensure that we’re insight-led in our approach to reaching more people affected by blood cancer and communicating with them in an impactful way.

You’ll also work closely with teams across Blood Cancer UK, initiating discussions to make sure our marketing and communications are fully integrated throughout 2022.

Key Responsibilities

1.     Lead on scoping and planning an integrated brand marketing campaign that builds understanding of Blood Cancer UK and increases our reach amongst the blood cancer community.

    1.1   Develop cost effective channel plans, key messaging and work with the creative team to develop creative content.

    1.2  Project manage cross functional teams and any external suppliers 

    1.3  Manage budgets, set KPIs and track performance

2.    Work with teams across the organisation to explore and maximise opportunities with partnerships/relationships that increase reach and awareness

3.    Liaise with colleagues across the charity to support integrated campaign planning and delivery  
4.    Liaise with colleagues across the charity to agree communications priorities per quarter according to the organisational strategy and priorities  
5.    Lead on high-quality market intelligence gathering (from analysis of local needs to consumer segmentation, location profiling, trend monitoring and competitor activity analysis), to inform consumer engagement strategies that promote the brand story and generate greater support

6.    Assist in the development and implementation of all aspects of brand and marketing best practice.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience of strategic brand marketing 
  • Proven experience of successful campaign planning and delivery
  • Successful track-record in a marketing position, responsible for brand activation across communication channels
  • Budget management and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral –  including the ability to work successfully at all levels.
  • Experience of working with and managing the work of agencies 
  •  Works collaboratively and shares information within and across Marketing, Communications and Digital, as well as the wider organisation. 
  •  Builds and maintains good working relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit, commitment to the team and achievement of shared goals.
