Job Description
Our befriending charity is going through an exciting period of growth and development, having launched our Five-Year Strategy last year. We are looking for new members of our Board of Trustees to help drive forward our vision. Could this be you?
We are looking for someone who has experience working with vulnerable adults in a professional capacity relating to safeguarding.
We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME people are currently under-represented in BEfriend.
Duties will involve:
-Attending regular board meetings (usually Tuesday evenings, every 6 weeks)
-Ensuring BEfriend meets its objectives
-Give guidance and advice on best practice
-Ensure our policies and procedures are up to date
-Report to the board on updates and to relevant legislation and policy
-Support the Safeguarding Lead
