Job Description

An exciting opportunity for two experienced Client Advisers to join the Bank Workers Charity, supporting people in need.

These roles are located in our London office and we are currently trialing hybrid office/home working.

About Bank Workers Charity (BWC)

The Bank Workers Charity is an occupational benevolent organisation that supports individuals and their families who are in real need. We offer independent advice, guidance, case management and grant giving for people encountering a wide range of challenges including financial, health, housing and wellbeing issues.  There is a growing need for our services and each year we’re supporting thousands of clients through our expert Helpline team and online resources. 

About the Roles

Your key purpose will be to provide advice, guidance and case management for our clients; to provide solutions to help people in need achieve long-term sustainability; and manage the client journey through BWC services.

About You

This role requires experience of supporting people, who may be vulnerable, in distress or in crisis situations, with practical, long-term solutions in areas such as welfare, budgeting, housing, debt and mental wellbeing, ideally gained within the charity sector, using various channels such as telephone, email and live chat. 

In order to succeed you will have an ability to demonstrate empathy, understanding the complexities faced by clients; you will be able to work calmly and productively under pressure, keeping to deadlines, and demonstrating good decision making skills, with a willingness to learn.  You will be comfortable working in a small team, ensuring the quality of the service you deliver is of a high standard, and able to work externally with our partners to signpost or refer clients when necessary.
