Trustee Chair Elect and Trustees
autism family support oxfordshire

Job Description

Autism Family Support Oxfordshire (AFSO) is nurturing, creative, and loud & proud about autism.

For over 40 years we have supported children and young adults on the autism spectrum and their families. Parent/carers are referred to us when their child receives a diagnosis of autism and we are there to support the family by offering advice and support, training, youth groups, holiday activities, peer support, opportunities to speak about experiences, a listening ear, and much more.

We are looking for exceptional individuals to join us as Chair Elect or new Trustees. We welcome applications from individuals who share our values, meet the criteria in the job descriptions, and are committed to developing AFSO and helping us grow.

We currently support over 3,300 children and young adults and their families, and offer a range of support, despite being a small local charity.

We also offer information, training, and consultation with professionals, including joint working and strategic development.

While we are open to applications from anyone with the creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to enhance our board, we are particularly interested in those with experience in fundraising, business development, digital technology, marketing, and/or with links to the local business community.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone whatever their background, and welcome applications regardless of sex, gender, race, age, sexuality, belief or disability.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
