Inspiring and life-transforming. Epic Arts is a dynamic inclusive arts and educational charity operating in Cambodia. We work with children and young adults with physical and learning disabilities through our arts & education programmes. Our social enterprises offer employment to those with disabilities and promote our message of inclusivity. We advocate for a more inclusive society in Cambodia. The Treasurer's role offers the opportunity to:

Epic Arts' finances are administered and overseen by our finance team in Kampot; the team reports to the Country Director. The Treasurer is not responsible for the day-to-day management of Epic Arts’ finances. We have a UK-based Independent Examiner (McBrides) who prepare the annual Report & Accounts.
Treasurer's key qualifications and experience
- a chartered accountant or similar qualification
- experience of financial oversight of a £200k pa organisation, or larger
- experience of financial controls and reporting
Treasurer's main responsibilities and duties
- Liaising with the Chair and finance team in overseeing and presenting budgets, accounts, management accounts and financial reports to the Board.
- Attending Board meetings to advise the Board on the financial state of Epic Arts and its financial viability.
- Developing/reviewing reserves, control and risk policies.Liaising with Epic Arts’ independent examiner and ensuring that Epic Arts’ annual Report & Accounts are produced and filed on a timely basis
Epic Arts was founded in 2003 and is a UK-registered charity and a UK-registered company. In 2020 (latest audited accounts) our income was £199,000. Our work is based in Kampot where we employ 45 staff, 42 of whom are Cambodian, including our Country Director. Two thirds of our employees are either disabled or have a close family member affected by disability.
