Job Description

Survivors Manchester is currently looking for someone special, someone that has the passion to ensure that everything this amazing organisation does is of quality, that it remains authentic to its roots, and it continues to deliver on what male survivors want. Are you that person?

For the past 12 years, Survivors Manchester has provided survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male victims/survivors of sexual abuse, rape, and sexual exploitation. We have developed a three-tiered approach to services and underpin everything we do with a 'trauma and recovery' framework pioneered by Dr Judith Herman.

As our Clinical Lead (Community), you will help us develop, manage, and deliver our quality assured trauma-informed services to over 950 male (including trans and non-binary) survivors annually. You will help us ensure that the 2 - 3 new men that ask for help each day hear our voice and know we will help them develop their own healing journey; and you will play your part in our collective effort to #BreakTheSilence on the sexual abuse of boys and men.

Whilst you will lead our amazing team of Trauma-Informed Therapists and Group & Community Development Team; manage our community-based services; you will also deliver trauma-informed talking therapy services to identifying male, trans and non-binary victims and survivors sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation.

You will be a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist who holds a Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent and be registered with BACP or equivalent 

(preferably an accredited member). You will understand issues relating to sexual violence, particularly as experienced by males; have experience of working in a highly confidential setting and of managing workforce teams.

In return for your time, experience, and commitment to the organisation, you will receive an annual salary of £33,000 – £37,000; 33 days annual leave (inc. Bank Holidays; company sick pay; monthly clinical supervision; pension contribution; and a range of training opportunities.
