Job Description

PERMANENT. 30 HOURS PER WEEK.

Join our team and play an essential part in helping Carers to continue caring.

Looking after family or friends who are ill, frail, disabled, have a substance misuse or mental health problem can be challenging. What makes it more challenging is not having the information, skills and knowledge to care safely and well. That’s where you come in.

If you’re a Carer…

  • How do you learn ways to look after your wellbeing while managing your caring role?
  • How do you help someone get out of a chair safely on your own?
  • How do you know what to be aware of when you care for someone with Diabetes?
  • How do you understand and cope with the behaviour of someone with Dementia?
  • How do you know what you need to do to plan for when caring comes to an end?...

…You access workshops and training provided by the Carers’ Support Service!

You will have a passion for delivering and developing training. You will have a clear understanding of the benefits to Carers of a good training programme. You will have a knack for research, and negotiation, so that you get the best deal for the Charity and Carers. You will have a positive attitude and be able to promote your programme to ensure opportunities are well attended.

Your role as Training and Information Officer is all about information, skills and knowledge. It’s no exaggeration to say that access to the right information at the right time can be life changing. The information we put out into the world via our website, social media, newsletters, booklets and leaflets needs to be top notch, both in the way it looks and its accuracy. You’ll need a keen eye with attention to detail, a bit of creative flare, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent organisation skills and a desire to learn. We also use programmes such as Canva and Doodly.

Application Deadline: 9am, Thursday 30th September. Interviews on Wednesday 6th October.

Please ensure you are available on the interview date as interviews will not be held on any other day. Interviews will take place at the Carers’ Support Service, 11 Redcombe Lane, Brigg, DN20 8AU.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
