Hours: 18.5 hours per week.

Salary: £28,959 per annum pro rata

Contract length: 9 month fixed term contract. Potential secondment opportunity – please speak to your employer.

We have been successful in securing funding from Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council through their Bounce Back Challenge Fund. The aim of the fund is to turbo charge innovative projects across the conurbation and drive long term economic growth.

We need someone who can help us to significantly boost our support and work with our members to audit their governance, policies and practices to ensure they are bid ready. The advisor will work closely with our Senior Adviser to ensure organisations receive the advice and support they need to be bid ready alongside receiving support from our new funding advisor to do this efficiently and effectively.

The role of Organisational Development Adviser will be integral in ensuring we are successful in this.

About you

You’ll have a good understanding about the role of the voluntary and community sector and passion for the work the sector does for our communities.

You’ll have knowledge of the VCS  and awareness of the changing environment for local communities and voluntary organisations and the challenges they face, with an ability to audit and identify areas for improvement within voluntary and community groups in areas such as constitutions, charity law, HR, H&S, safeguarding, finance, data protection and be able to communicate this clearly and effectively to a range of individuals and groups.
